Dr Bob's Family Dentistry was established to bring together a number of essential dental services all in one convenient location. Our goal is to provide our patients with a worry-free, comfortable dental experience that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each family member.
At Dr Bob's Family Dentistry we focus on you. We are dedicated to addressing any needs or concerns you may have while you are visiting us. We use the most advanced technology to provide you with the highest quality care.
Dr. Robert Weigand, aka "Dr Bob", uses a clinical microscope for all of his dental procedures. It is his attention to the slightest detail that sets him apart, and with his use of the clinical microscope in our practice, we don't overlook even the smallest detail.
Working with magnification has enabled our practice to develop a high standard of quality and care. Providing restorations that stand the test of time is a critical component of our reputation and quality. We are able to achieve these standards using the clinical microscope in our daily practice.
Most procedures can be completed right here in our office, saving you time from traveling for treatment and allowing us to offer the most comprehensive care possible. Many times there can be several solutions to a dental concern or problem. We will work with you to fully explain all possible options and help you make a fully informed decision on what is best for you and your oral health.

OUR SERVICES
Routine Exams
We will provide you with a comprehensive new patient exam with a full series of X-rays. Our Exam will take 1-1.5 hrs so you will have ample time to address any concerns or ask any questions
Dental Fillings
We provide the best and environmentally safest fillings for your teeth. Composite (plastic) fillings are esthetically pleasing and will match the existing color of your teeth
Periodontal Treatment
We provide the evaluation and treatment of periodontal disease. We provide the latest techniques ,with ultrasonic instruments as well as laser treatments. in cases with early stages of periodontal disease we will usually begin with scaling and root planing.
Crowns & Bridges
We offer the entire line of crowns for your teeth. Whether you are looking for "All Ceramic/Porcelain" restorations for your front teeth or "Zirconia/Gold" for your back teeth, we offer them all. Come in for an evaluation to determine what your needs may be.
Implants
We offer implant dentistry. An evaluation is required to determine if an implant can be placed and if so what type.
Dental Hygiene
After your comprehensive exam and X-rays, the doctor will determine what type of care will be needed for your gums. If your gums are healthy, chances are you will be able to get a cleaning approintment the same day
Teeth Whitening
We provide the most advanced in-office whitening and at home whitening systems. Call us today for what may be best for you
Root Canals
We perform Root Canal Treatment for almost every tooth in your mouth. We use the the latest technology, including rotary instrumentation. electronic measurements (cuts down on x-ray exposure), and the most modern filling techniques.
Children's Care
Most children can be seen right here in our office. We offer a full range of care for kids. We offer exams, low-level panoramic and bite-wing x-rays (when necessary), cleanings, white fillings, space maintainers, flouride treatments, and home care education for both parents and child.
Extractions
We do almost all extractions in our office. Same day is usually available

Robert A. Weigand, DDS
"Dr. Bob"
Member
Dr. Robert Weigand has devoted hundreds of hours to learning the most advanced techniques in dentistry in order to provide his patients with the best dental care available. In the process, he has created one of the most respected dental practices not only in Brunswick, but throughout The State of Maine.
Dr. Weigand, or "Dr. Bob" as he likes to be called, is a 1983 graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. In addition to receiving his D.D.S. degree from NYU he also conducted Graduate level research at the Department of Oral Microbiology at the Dental School. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Microbiology at NYU Graduate School of Arts and Science. His research involved working with the bacteria or germ responsible for tooth decay. His Master Thesis, "Isolation and Differentiation of Streptococcus mutans from the Human Oral Cavity", laid down his foundation for wanting to make "Prevention" his number one goal when he became a dentist. As he learned from his former mentor, "Prevention is a Wise Choice".
